The DLR's Public Arts Programme draws on the unique qualities of the network and its relationship with the vibrant urban landscapes, communities and cultural organisations that it connects. We aim to enhance existing and future stations, new lines and public spaces with artworks that are innovative, inspirational and engaging.

The role of art and the benefits it can bring to transportation systems are long-established and well-proven world-wide. Within this international context, DLR Art presents a distinctive, excellent programme that will engage the imaginations of diverse audiences, from established East Enders to Canary Wharf and City workers, and to new populations and overseas visitors: all those who live, work, study, rest and play in the area. DLR Art will help create a cultural legacy for the benefit of all, one that re-maps East and South-East London.
